- The polar fleece sweater symbolizes our culture of mass consumption and our love of the great outdoors.
- SweaterLodge is the height of a four-story building.
- SweaterLodge is eighteen times the size of a normal sweater.
- SweaterLodge measures 87 feet (26.5 meters) cuff to cuff.
- It’s made out of 400 square meters of fabric.
- It took 300 labour hours to sew.
- The sewing team specializes in costume design in the Vancouver film industry.
- The fabric is made from recycled 2 liter soda bottles, over 3150 bottles in the entire sweater.
- The sweater includes 530 grommets, 125 meters of zippers and 30 meters of reflective tape.
- The orange color is inspired by the glow of a campfire and symbolic of Canada’s concern for outdoor safety. It’s a green project that’s orange.
- Anyone can make their own SweaterLodge bike projector. We have used a Mac Mini computer, a digital rotary encoder and video jockey software, all of which are available at retail stores around the world.
